Can I clean the port myself?
Gentle removal of loose lint with a wooden or plastic pick is low risk. Metal tools and compressed air can bend pins or push debris further in, which turns a cleaning job into a replacement.
Why would a charging port need board-level work?
On many devices the port is soldered directly to the logic board, and the pads under it can be damaged. That requires micro-soldering rather than a plug-in part swap.
Do you repair console and controller charging ports?
Yes — Switch, controller and other console ports are repaired at the shop, and we tell you up front when a case needs board-level work.
My cable only works if I hold it at an angle. Is the port replaceable?
